隠岐汽船フェリー

The Oki Islands are definitely an off-the-beaten-track location!
Take the Oki Kisen Line to the Oki Islands.
One of the three Oki Kisen ferries or fast ferry Rainbow Jet will take you across the Sea of Japan and through the inner sea (a caldera created by volcanic eruptions 5 – 6 million years ago).
The ferry passes alongside Mt. Takuhi, the location of an impressive mountain shrine.
Be sure to listen when the captain sound’s the ship’s horn – this is in recognition of the man who started the Oki Kisen Line (shrine priest Mr. Matsuura) and to ask the god of the shrine to bless your sea voyage.
Soon after this you will read your destination – Beppu Port, Nishinoshima Island.
