This hiking track is the best way to explore and enjoy the dynamic island. Follow the well-marked trail from atop the 257 m high eroded Matengai Cliff, one of the most spectacular sea cliffs in Japan, down to the impressive Tsūtenkyō Arch, Kuniga Bay and Kuniga Shrine. Horses and cows graze on the spacious grassland here also. You can also start at the bottom of the track (where the local bus stops) and walk up to Matengai Cliff. Your return trip can be along the same track or along the road through the farmland. Course 2.3 km 60 – 90 min (one way)
*Do not go close to or touch the cattle. Thank you for your cooperation.
