Mimiura 耳浦

This campground is away from the town, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.
Relax at this pebble-stone beach, swim in the summer months and enjoy meeting other campers from around Japan.
There are no shops nearby, so make sure you purchase food and drink at Beppu Port before coming to the campsite.

Kurogi Imperial Residence Site, Hekifū-kan Museum 黒木御所跡/碧風館

Historical documents state that Emperor Godaigō was exiled to the Oki Islands. Some say it was to here, Kurogi. Walk around the area and discover where the Emperor lived. Visit the museum and learn more about exile and history in Nishinoshima (information mostly in Japanese).
