Kannon-iwa Rock

観音岩 kannoniwa-rock

Strong wind and waves have carved this unique rock formation. People say it looks like a “kannon” (Buddhist Deity). At sunset from mid-April to early-June, then again from late-August to mid-September, you’ll see a candle floating over the sea!
