You can get around Nishinoshima on foot, by rent-a-cycle, rent-a-car, taxi, sightseeing bus, sightseeing boat or local bus.

This island has a very active group of people who can guide you around the island on hiking trails, town walks etc.
They guide in Japanese only, so if your Japanese ability is not so good, then this may be too difficult for you.
